The safety of our patients and staff is of the utmost importance to Southeastern Retina Specialists therefore, considering the issues surrounding COVID-19, commonly referred to as Coronavirus, we wanted to let our patients know about the precautionary steps we are taking. Our physicians are highly trained and look forward to providing you with the most advanced and compassionate care possible. At Southeastern Retina Specialists, your vision is our mission! After completion of a three year ophthalmology residency, our physicians completed a fellowship specializing in the medical and surgical treatment of vitreoretinal diseases. After graduation from medical school, our physicians completed an internship in a non-specialty field of medicine of their choosing, as their ophthalmology residency did not start until the year after they completed medical school.
While board certification is not required to practice, it does ensure that our practice meets the standards and qualifications set forth by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Our physicians are board certified ophthalmologists that have completed an additional training program to become retina specialists.
Our practice works closely with your general ophthalmologist, optometrist, and primary care physician in order to provide the most comprehensive care possible. We also treat complications from ocular trauma and complications from previous eye surgeries. Our physicians specialize in treating patients with retinal disease such as:
